Who is Alpha Omega Guitar Effects? TOP
-
-
We are a Christ centered Christian company that specializes in Hand Built Vintage Inspired Boutique guitar effects. We offer Boutique Guitar effects pedals for discriminating guitarist seeking vintage tone. We like to refer to it as Heavenly Tone. All pedals are designed around highly sought after vintage effects using the original vintage circuit designs, but we add modern touches. All are true bypass, have on/off indicator LED, are true analog (unless otherwise stated) and are vintage voiced to sound as close to highly sought after original vintage pedals costing much more. We use top shelf components for all our builds to keep them as "audiophile" as possible. We also add modifications to make the pedal more modern give players more options. Get that Heavenly Tone you have been seeking. Go to the Contact section on this page to email us with questions or comments.

We are located in Roanoke, TX, United States Are all Alpha Omega Effects True Bypass? TOP
-
Yes, All our pedals are true bypass.
-
Simply stated true bypass is the ability to send an input signal straight through an effect pedal and not pass any signal through the circuit inside the pedal. If any signal is passed through the circuit, then your original guitar tone will be compromised. True bypass also allows multiple effects to be daisy chained together without effecting your tone. One drawback is sometimes true bypass pedals "pop" when turned on or off. We put step down resistors in all our pedals to lessen or eliminate this "POP". The POP is caused from certain components inside the pedal that retain a small electrical charge. When the pedal is selected on that small charge is released and creates the audible POP. The step down resistors drain that electrical charge away when the pedal if off but some times in some circuits it just can't get rid of all the charge. So some true bypass pedals will always pop slightly. What do you mean true analog? TOP
-
Analog sound equipment has been around for many years. Your ears are an analog listening device. The internal components of an "analog" effect are the tried and true things like resistors, diodes, capacitors, transistors and sometimes analog integrated chips (usually a form of amplifier), tubes (valves), tranformers ect. When a sound signal travels through these components its like light passing through a prism. The signal is refracted and manipulated but the signal is still in its original form.
-
Many audio purest say an analog signal is warmer, true and more pleasant to listen to versus a digital signal, but don't get me wrong there is some amazing digial equipment out there.
-
A digital signal in very simple terms converts the original signal to a bunch of 1's and 0's then manipulates and changes it back to an audible signal. I'm no expert in things digital so please correct me if I'm wrong. All I know from 25 years as a live audio technician is analog always sound better to my analog ears.
